Five Arab residents of east Jerusalem were arrested Thursday for allegedly hurling firebombs and stones at police and Jewish homes during the funeral of an Arab man who died while in police custody, police said. An Israeli and a Palestinian doctor had both said that the Arab man, who died shortly after being detained Saturday, was not beaten by police. The five suspects were brought to a Jerusalem court for a remand hearing.
