A five-month-old baby was found lifeless in her crib in a Holon nursery on Tuesday. A Magen David Adom team attempted to resuscitate the infant but to no avail.
The kindergarten teacher told medics that she lay the child to sleep in her crib and alerted MDA when, some time later, she noticed the baby was unconscious.
Following the case, MDA chief Elie Bean urged the general public to periodically undergo courses in emergency resuscitation in order to identify critical cases and thus save lives before ambulances arrive.
