A problem in the communications system at Ben-Gurion International Airport delayed Wednesday morning's takeoff schedule.
Israel Radio reported that flights were being cleared for takeoff in 10-minute intervals.
According to reports, pilots preparing for takeoff were hearing songs rather than instructions from the control tower.
The control tower changed radio frequencies and managed to maintain contact with the pilots. Takeoffs resumed as scheduled after approximately an hour.
