Hundreds of thousands of shekels worth of food and supplies were reported stolen on Sunday from the Kiryat Gat branch of charity organization Meir Panim.
The items, which had been collected over the past few weeks for Sderot residents and needy people throughout the country, consisted of thousands of food portions meant for the elderly and homebound, as well as clothing and food orders for Hanukkah.
The organization's chairman, Dudi Zilbershlag, submitted a complaint to police, who opened an investigation into the matter.
