Foreign Ministry: 2 Israelis unreachable in Peru

According to information released by the Foreign Ministry overnight Thursday, two Israeli backpackers traveling in Peru following a deadly earthquake had yet to make contact with their families or the ministry, Army Radio reported. The number of victims in the catastrophe had reportedly reached 500. 1,500 people were injured. The United Nations and the European Union announced that they would immediately send aid to the country.
