Four women held for abusing babies at WIZO center

The director and three workers at a Jerusalem day care center were under arrest Thursday for allegedly physically abusing babies at the center over the last several months, police said. The four women, who worked at the WIZO (Women's International Zionist Organization) center in the northern Jerusalem neighborhood of Pisgat Ze'ev, are suspected of severely abusing one- and two-year-old babies at the center, Jerusalem police spokesman Shmuel Ben-Ruby said. The four women, who have confessed to the allegations against them, were brought to a Jerusalem court Thursday for a remand hearing, the police said.
