Galilee resident arrested on allegations of sexual abuse against 2 children

A 53-year-old resident of the western Galilee was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of sexually abusing two children, aged 10 and 11, including sodomizing one of them, police said.
The suspect claimed that although he spent time with the two children, one of them took off his trousers voluntarily.
Police are expected to ask the Acre Magistrate's Court to extend the suspect's remand and also to send him to a mental facility for psychiatric observation.
