Gaza farmers get retraining course

The Agriculture Ministry Tuesday begins a free eight-month retraining course for former Gaza farmers evacuated last summer who need to adapt the technology they know to a new climate so they can grow vegetables and flowers. There are some 90 farmers interested in the course, which costs NIS 8,000 per participant. The ministry said that some half of the 160 farmers are looking to the restart their farms.
