13-year-old Nora Zu'abe was killed on Thursday in the Arab village of Kfar Sulam in the Jezreel Valley when a bus taking her and other children to a local school ran over her. Police were investigating why the 65-year-old bus driver failed to notice the girl and prevent the incident. While the bus was stopped in a roundabout waiting for a schoolchild, the driver apparently drove the bus onto the sidewalk in order to allow a truck to pass him. A few moments later, when he was starting to drive once more, he heard a bump. He then realized he had run over the girl. Police revoked the driver's license for 90 days and he was taken for investigation. Police asked that bus drivers and parents pick up schoolchildren only at places intended for it.
