Nearly 500 people demonstrated on Sunday evening outside the home of OC Central Command Maj.-Gen. Yair Naveh in Givat Shmuel, protesting the upcoming evacuation of illegal West Bank outposts. The demonstrators, comprising settlers, rabbis, and representatives of various movements, also protested the restraining orders signed by Naveh against some 20 right-wing activists. IDF Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Dan Halutz responded by condemning any protest against IDF soldiers or officers fulfilling Israeli policy.
