Gov't official: Israel still believes Goldwasser, Regev alive

There is still no new, definitive information about kidnapped IDF soldiers Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev, a government official told Israel Radio on Saturday.
The official added that Israel still believes that the two reservists are alive, and continues in negotiations with Hizbullah through mediators.
The official gave his response following a report published by the German weekly, Der Spiegel in which the magazine claimed that Prime Minister Ehud Olmert planned to announce that Israel considers the two reservists dead.
