A senior official of the Bailiff's Office in Haifa has been arrested on suspicion of taking bribes.
The matter was brought to the attention of the Coastal District Fraud Squad by local court officials following complaints about the woman, a resident of Nesher, which is near Haifa.
Police said that she was suspected of having taken bribes to assist those connected with cases of debts and that in one case she allegedly canceled a court order preventing a person from leaving the country.
