An IDF reservist suspected of firing his M16 at the floor during an argument at a Haifa shopping mall, lightly wounding two men in their 20s, turned himself in to Military Police on Monday night. Police said the argument, at the Lev Hamifratz mall, broke out when the reservist, a Bir el-Maksur resident, took exception to one of the men speaking to his girlfriend, a fellow student. The two men - from Ilut, near Nazareth - were lightly wounded by the bullet's ricochet. The reservist and his girlfriend then fled the scene, stopped a car and threatened the driver at gunpoint to head toward the Yagur junction. The vehicle was stropped at a police checkpoint, but the two ran away on foot.
