Haifa man jailed for 6 years for violently robbing 81-year-old woman

A Haifa man was sentenced to six years in jail on Monday for violently robbing 81-year-old Malka Yariv.
The man, Oshro Kablawi, 21, followed the elderly woman to the steps of her building, beat her and stole her bag. Yariv suffered severe bruising to the face and a broken arm.
Kablawi, who confessed to carrying out the attack, was also given a three-year suspended sentence and ordered to pay his victim NIS 30,000.
