IDF Chief of General Staff Lt. -Gen. Dan Halutz called on reserve generals to participate in the different committees investigating the IDF's management of the war in Lebanon.
Halutz met with over 100 reserve generals and additional IDF general staff on Tuesday.
During the five-hour-long meeting, many generals criticized IDF action before and during the war. Many officers said the IDF had prepared neither itself nor the home front before for the conflict.
Several generals called on Halutz to stay in position, and not give into public pressure to resign.
