Hamas head in the W. Bank calls for restraint

Hamas' leader in the West Bank, Sheikh Hassan Yousuf, called on all Palestinian factions to exercise restraint and maintain their commitment to the tahdiya, or "calm", declared in Cairo. Yousuf is the Hamas candidate for the Palestinian Authority parliament, Israel Radio reported. Yousuf's response comes less than two days after the Islamic Jihad executed a terror attack in Netanya that killed five Israelis, and as the IDF is poised to take massive retaliatory measures against that organization in the West Bank.
