The Israel police and the Shin Bet raided offices linked to the Hamas near Nablus Road in east Jerusalem on Sunday afternoon. An organization called Wifadah was discovered to be channeling funds to Hamas, to be used for the group's election campaign in east Jerusalem. Hamas has not only been barred from campaigning in Jerusalem; the group will also not appear on the ballot in east Jerusalem in the January 25 Palestinian Authority parliamentary elections.
