Hamas planned to carry out a terror attack against IDF troops on the Trans-Jordan Highway in the West Bank, the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) discovered and released for publication Thursday.
According to the report, the Hamas operatives had placed a number of bombs along the highway, and intended to explode one of them so as to attract Israeli security forces to the area. As the Israelis approached the area, Hamas then planned to detonate the other bombs.
The Shin Bet arrested three suspects while investigating the terror plot.
