Some 200 haredim were demonstrating outside Jerusalem's Russian Compound police station Friday evening in protest over the recent arrests of 12 haredim suspected of disturbing the peace during protests in Beit Shemesh and Mea Shearim.
The protesters called insults to the police and attempted to attack some of them for operating walkie-talkies on Shabbat. Police officers forced the crowd to disperse. No injuries were reported.
