Health Ministry warns hospitals of possible quake in northern Israel

The Health Ministry has instructed health officials in northern Israel - including hospitals, health maintenance organizations and Magen David Adom teams - to prepare for the possibility of an earthquake in the region. The alert, sent out on Monday by the ministry's director-general Avi Yisraeli, is a result of new assessments by an interministerial committee that studied seismographic data and concluded that an earthquake in the north of the country is a real possibility.
