Hebrew University professor suspected of sexually assaulting student

A 60-year-old Hebrew University professor was detained for questioning on Wednesday for allegedly sexually molesting a female student, police said. Professor Eyal Ben-Ari of the university's sociology department was ordered by a Jerusalem court to stay away from the university, and not to contact the student who filed the complaint, Jerusalem police spokesman Shmuel Ben-Ruby said. A Hebrew University spokeswoman was not immediately available for comment.
