Hebrew University sets up NIS 5m. fund to help students hurt by strike

The Hebrew University of Jerusalem announced this week that the administration and senior faculty committee had set up an NIS 5m. fund to assist students who were hurt financially by the professors' strike. In the first two days, 1,500 students applied for aid, the university said.
Students who have a course load of more than 40% and are studying for their BA, MA or certificate are eligible to apply. Students who live in the dorms will be compensated for living expenses but not for rent. Students can apply online through the personal info portion of the school website until March 23.
