An IAF pilot was arrested Sunday night and remanded for 48 hours on suspicion that he purchased drugs in Lod while driving an army-issue vehicle.
The pilot, whose name and rank have not been released for publication, said that the drugs in his possession belonged to a woman who was riding with him in his car. The passenger denied the allegation.
A urine test showed no evidence that the pilot had consumed drugs, Army Radio reported.
