A 25% increase in soldiers' complaints was recorded in 2005, IDF Ombudsman Brig.-Gen. (Res.) Avner Barazani told the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee on Monday morning. According to the report, 6,048 official complaints were filed by soldiers, mostly relating to their treatment at the hands of their commanders. About 60% of the complaints that were examined were found to be justified.
