IDF: Terrorist killed on July 7 was head of Hamas charity foundation

The Palestinian terrorist who shot and wounded an Israeli civilian near Yakir some two weeks ago, before being killed by the IDF, was the head of the Islamic Charity Foundation, a source of funding for Hamas terror activities, the army announced on Sunday. The terrorist was identified as Mahmoud O'ttaman Mahmoud A'azi, 48, from the Karawat Bani Hassan village in the West Bank. An IDF officer, who was moderately wounded by the terrorist during an exchange of fire, shot him dead in the July 7 incident.
