The Karni Crossing was opened Thursday morning in order to allow supplies and humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip. The decision was made by Col. Nir Peres of the DCO in Gaza, who said the IDF was not interested in making life difficult for the Palestinian population in the Gaza Strip. He emphasized that despite the current security situation, it was important to distinguish between civilians and terrorists.
