IDF troops killed two Hamas operatives on Monday in a nighttime gunbattle in the Gaza Strip, a Hamas official said. He spoke on condition of anonymity because Hamas had not yet officially announced the men's death. The IDF said troops shot two armed Palestinians who attacked troops inside Gaza not far from the border fence, near Kfar Azza. A third gunman reportedly managed to escape. One soldier was lightly wounded by the gunfire, but did not require evacuation, the IDF said.
