The IDF succeeded in killing a senior Tanzim terrorist in Nablus on Wednesday during an arrest operation for other wanted terror suspects, it was allowed for publication Thursday morning. According to the IDF, Basem Hamis Mustafa Abu-Suria was involved in dozens of shooting attacks on soldiers and civilians, and was also involved in planning bombing attacks against targets in Israel. Basem Suria, 32, also known as "Kadafi", recently established himself as one of the senior leaders of the Tanzim terror organization in Nablus. Suria developed the skills to make explosive materials and explosive devices and belts, which he also sold to other terrorist organizations in the city of Nablus. Despite the amnesty agreement, Basem Suria continued his involvement in the terrorist organization and continued to carry hand grenades and a rifle. In recent months, according to the IDF, after he established himself as one of the leaders of the Tanzim organization, Basem Suria operated as part of a joint Hamas and Tanzim cell, and even strengthened his ties with the Hizbullah in Lebanon.
