An IDF soldier was killed in a gun battle Jenin on Thursday morning, security sources revealed a few hours later.
Resuscitation efforts on the scene failed, and the soldier died of his wounds.
The soldier's family was notified of his death.
Troops in the area continued their operation to arrest fugitives hiding in Jenin.
