The IDF will impose a full curfew on Judea, Samaria, and the Gaza Strip starting Friday afternoon, to continue until after Yom Kippur, Army Radio reported. In the weekly meeting to evaluate the security situation, Defense Minister Amir Peretz was informed that the security establishment was aware of 17 specific terror attacks being planned against Israel. The information indicated that terror groups intended to kidnap Israelis, but that there were no indications of a terror attack in Jerusalem, where the first Friday prayers of Ramadan were taking place.
