Int'l force may deploy at Gaza's Karni Crossing

Israel and the Palestinian Authority discussed the significance of an international observer force that could be stationed at the Gaza Strip's Karni Crossing. The plan for 90 peacekeepers to deploy at Karni was presented to Israeli and PA government officials by the American security coordinator in the West Bank and Gaza Maj. Gen. Keith Dayton on Friday. The Palestinian Authority had agreed to the deployment on Monday and Israel had yet to announce an official view.
