Following Thursday night's shooting attack in Jerusalem's Mercaz Harav Yeshiva, Israel Police raised its level of alert to level 3, the 'readiness for operational activity' level. The decision to raise the alert came at the end of a situation assessment meeting convened by Israel Police Inspector General David Cohen. Urban population centers will be the focus of increased police presence on Friday.
