Strategic talks between Israel and the United States were scheduled to resume on Monday in Washington. The talks were suspended early this summer following a weapons agreement between Israel and China. The United States was vehemently opposed to the deal. When the diplomatic tensions abated, the US government agreed to renew the strategic cooperation. Israel Radio reported that Minister-without-Portfolio Tzahi Hanegbi was set to head the Israeli delegation for the talks.
