Israel approves West Bank trailers for Gaza evacuees

Defense Minister Ehud Barak has agreed to let a group of Jewish settlers who once lived in the Gaza Strip to move in to mobile homes in the West Bank. In a letter obtained by The Associated Press on Wednesday, Barak approved the transfer of five trailers to the Teneh Omarim settlement. This is not the first time Gaza settlers have relocated to the West Bank. Several dozen resettled in Ariel, a major settlement, and in Maskiot, despite a government decision last year to freeze plans to build a settlement there.
