Israel commemorates Holocaust victims

Israel's leaders were scheduled to participate in the national laying of the wreaths ceremony at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in commemoration of Holocaust Memorial Day. The ceremony will begin immediately following a two-minute siren that will be sounded throughout the country. Hundreds of names of Holocaust survivors will be read in the Knesset plenum as part of the Every Person has a Name program. The central memorial event will take place at 1 p.m. at Yad Vashem.
