Israel lodges official complaint with UN over Kassams

Israel has lodged an official complaint with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and the UN Security Council following the extensive Kassam rocket attack Tuesday against Sderot and the killing of Ecuadorian volunteer Carlos Chavez in Kibbutz Ein Hashlosha, Army Radio reported. Five people were lightly to moderately wounded Tuesday as approximately 25 Kassam rockets slammed into the western Negev town. Last week the Security Council issued an official condemnation following the firing of Katyusha rockets at the northern town of Shlomi.
