Israeli Border Patrol agent incriminated 18 drug dealers

Yiftah District Police arrested 18 suspects on charges of smuggling cocaine, hashish and ecstasy pills on Monday. An undercover agent provided information leading to the arrest of the suspected drug dealers. The agent acquired the confidence of those distributing the drugs in the Hatikva neighborhood of Tel Aviv and bought various drugs from them at different locations. During the course of the operation, the suspects suggested that the agent participated with them in an attempt to acquire more drugs. The agent succeeded in acquiring 2.7 kilograms of hashish, 600 Ecstasy pills, and 100 grams of crystal methamphetamine. The unit's commanders emphasized that undercover operations are meaningful in their ability to reduce drug shipments and sales.
