An Israeli photographer for The New York Times has won a prestigious award for best photography overseas among newspapers for a series of pictures she took during last year's Gaza pullout. Rina Castelnuovo, who serves as photographer for the Times' Jerusalem bureau, received the coveted 'Overseas Press Club' Award in New York on Thursday for an array of pictures called "Leaving Gaza." Castelnuovo became the first Israeli to win the American award, which is considered to be the parallel of a Pulitzer for foreign press photography.
