Jerusalem: Pedestrian killed in traffic accident

A 17-year-old Israeli teen who crossed a major Jerusalem thoroughfare in the middle of the road early Monday was struck and killed by a private bus, police said. The night-time accident took place on Golda Meir Boulevard near the city's Har HaHotzvim. The victim was rushed to Hadassah-University Hospital at Ein Kerem, but died there of his mortal wounds. At least 13 people have been killed on the nation's roads in the first three weeks of the year.
