An Israeli couple was under arrest on Tuesday for allegedly physically abusing their 11-month-old son, police said.
The couple, who live in northern Jerusalem, were apprehended a week-and-a-half after bringing their child to Hadassah University Hospital at Ein Kerem with severe foot injuries.
The toddler's parents deny the abuse charges, and assert that he injured himself in an accident at home.
The child's father was to be brought to a Jerusalem court late Tuesday for a remand hearing.
