A Jerusalem municipal worker was lightly injured late Wednesday after he was sprayed with tear-gas by a group of haredi rioters in the city's Mea Shearim neighborhood, police said Thursday. The municipal worker was with a group of city sanitation workers cleaning the streets and removing city posters from billboards in the neighborhood when they were assaulted by couple dozen haredim, Jerusalem police spokesman Shmuel Ben-Ruby said. The attackers then fled the scene and the municipal workers finished their work under police guard. The Jerusalem Municipality did not report the incident.
