A Jerusalem resident was arrested on suspicion of arson after his apartment was badly damaged by fire in the Katamon neighborhood on Tuesday, Israel Radio reported.
The suspect allegedly set fire to the house as a form of protest against his wife from whom he was in the process of divorcing.
Afterwards he escaped the area in his car and collided with another car. Both drivers were moderately injured and taken to a Jerusalem hospital.
