Jisr e-Zarka resident drowns at Haifa beach

A resident of Jisr e-Zarka drowned Friday afternoon at the Students Beach in Haifa. According to Army Radio, the man had been swimming in an off-limits area. He was pulled out of the water in critical condition. Magen David Adom paramedics attempted to resuscitate him, but were forced to pronounce him dead. Earlier Friday, a 22-year-old woman was rescued near the same beach. She was evacuated to Haifa's Rambam Medical Center, where she was listed in moderate condition.
