A grenade, pipe bomb and a gun were found in a bag on Eli Cohen Street in Jerusalem Friday afternoon.

Police sappers neutralized the explosives that were discovered in the Geula neighborhood of the city.

South on alert after 2 barrel bombs

Bomb squad disposal experts who were called to the scene to examine a suspicious object discovered the weapons in the bag.

Police closed the surrounding streets.

The bag was left on the ground on the corner of Eli Cohen Street.

Police are investigating the incident and believe the background to be criminal and not a nationalistic threat.
