Kadima, Labor sign coalition agreement minutes before Succot

Kadima and Labor party representatives on Monday afternoon signed a new coalition agreement, according to which Labor chairman and Defense Minister Ehud Barak will be a senior partner in the government to be put together by Kadima leader and Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni. The agreement, which came about after long negotiations, was signed just before the beginning of Succot. Discussions will continue on a number of issues that remain unresolved.
