Israel opened the Karni Crossing on Sunday after it had been closed for two weeks for security purposes following terror alerts which led to the IDF discovery of a weapons smuggling tunnel close to the crossing last week. The crossing, separating Israel from the Gaza Strip, was opened for the transfer of trucks and humanitarian aid including food, medicine and schoolbooks for student beginning the new school year.
