A Kassam rocket was fired at the western Negev, Israel Radio reported Monday. The rocket caused a fire upon landing. The latest launch brings to seven the total number of rockets fired at the western Negev on Monday. One of the rockets landed in the courtyard of a daycare center, causing twelve people including babies to suffer from shock. Islamic Jihad said it fired nine rockets of the Kuds-3 model. In Israel only seven landings were confirmed. The organization said the salvo was "a present for the new school year."
