President Moshe Katsav said on Monday that Israel was committed to getting Jonathan Pollard released from prison.
The president emphasized that it was appropriate that Pollard's sentenced be reduced, based on the US values, Israel Radio quoted.
Katsav spoke at a meeting with Knesset lobbyists who work to free Pollard.
