Kinneret level rises by 2 cm. in 24 hours

The level of the Kinneret rose by two centimeters between Sunday and Monday. The water level on Monday stood 3.18 centimeters below the maximum 'red-line,' and 211.98 centimeters below sea level. The maximum 'red line' is the point at which the Deganya sluice gates would have to be opened to prevent flooding around the lake by allowing water to flow into the southern reaches of the Jordan River and down to the Dead Sea.
