Lawyer Avigdor (Dori) Klagsblad, convicted of causing death by criminal negligence when he smashed into a car and killed both its passengers in April 2006, will be released from jail Tuesday, having served eight months of his jail term. Klagsblad had a third of his term reduced for good behavior. His original sentence carried 15 months imprisonment. Following an appeal, it was reduced to 13 months with a fine of NIS 10,000 and his license was revoked for a period of ten years. Klagsblad has a record of numerous traffic violations, several of which were related to traffic safety.
